Wauseon Farmers' Market Salsa Challenge This Saturday August 20th

Visit the Wauseon Farmers' Market this Saturday for the annual Salsa Challenge! Many of the award winners form last year will be returning. Entries will be judged by the public and by our judges. To enter, prepare 1/2 gallon of your recipe. You can enter several categories. The options for salsa entries are: Mild, Hot, Sweet, and Original. For entry forms, see our wauseondowntown.org page and click on the (+) icon by the story. You can also enter Saturday morning at the welcome booth by the front of the market on Fulton Street. Please bring your entries by 9:00 am. Tasting and competition begins at 10:00 am. Voting chips will be available for those who contribute to our charity for the event: Wauseon's FISH food pantry. The market provides serving sample cups and tortilla chips for tasting. Entries may be from private homes or from a business. Vegetable ingredients must come from local gardens. The competition is "blind." Tasters will not know the identity for the entrants. The award ceremony will be at noon.
