Welcome to the Prince and Princess for the 2019 Wauseon Christmas Parade!

The Wauseon Downtown Association is pleased to announce the new royals for the 2019 Wauseon Christmas Parade! Peyton Thomas Wayne Hovis will be the 2019 Prince and Emma Rose Burkholder will be the 2019 Princess.

Emma has been diving since she was 3 years old! She enjoys being part of the Wauseon Dive Club, playing soccer, doing gymnastics in Napoleon, and doing artwork. She is the daughter of Tom and Erica Burkholer. Emma enjoys family game night, playing putt putt, and going on trips together with her family. She wrote in her application that she "Loves Wauseon and Parades!"

Payton’s Parents are Joshua and Amber Hovis. The parade will take place on Peyton’s birthday, He will be 8 years old and loves playing sports. His favorite sport is soccer. He is a Wolverine fan and also follows the San Francisco 49ers. Peyton is a cub scout and sings in his Christmas Choir. He wrote in his application “I have a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. I love helping out the community."

The Prince and Princess for 2019 Christmas Parade will ride together on the Wauseon Downtown Association float as they greet their public on Saturday night. The parade will start at 7:00 pm at South Park. The parade route follows South Fulton Street, over the tracks to North Fulton Street, turns onto West Oak Street and then south on Clinton Street and West on Depot Street ending at the Depot. Santa and. Mrs. Claus will be meeting all guests at the Depot following the parade. Stop by the Depot to enjoy the caroling by members of the Wauseon High School music department. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies! The 2019 Wauseon Christmas Parade is sponsored by m.e. Miller Tire. The Wauseon Chamber of Commerce and The Fulton County Historical Society are sponsoring Santa's appearance at the Depot. The parade is organized by the Wauseon Downtown Association.
