The Wauseon Downtown Association Bids Farewell To Our Friend, John Tiffany

John Tiffany loved Wauseon. He proved his passion for our city by feeding his friends and by teaching the young people of this small city.  On days when his students were to take a "high stakes test" he offered free breakfasts to whoever might take up his offer.

A long-time member of the Wauseon Downtown Association, John supported the goals of the organization in many ways. After the finish of the Christmas parade each year, guests at the Depot were served hot chocolate donated by John Tiffany. Last summer, when the Farmers' Market opened at the new North Fulton site, John was among the first to buy our Wauseon Farmers' Market shirts. He did not just buy one, but he provided a shirt for each of the employees at Tiffany's  Cafe.

Each Saturday morning during the summer months, vendors  at the Wauseon Farmers' Market filled John's shopping bags with locally grown fresh fruits and vegertables.  He was simply one of the "best customers" for our local vendors at the market.

John loved and supported the Amazing Race and the Christmas Parade. John enjoyed decorating the annual Tiffany's Cafe entry in the parade.

So many folks talk about how the Wauseon downtown used to be. John, in his commitment to the WDA, was serious about bringing life and business back to the downtown.  We will miss his devotion to our team, and in his passing, the entire city has truly lost a very special friend.
