Wauseon Farmers' Market Salsa Challenge

 

The Wauseon Farmers' Market is planning a "Salsa Challenge." We have all of the ingredients that you need....and we we will be accepting all entries for the "Salsa Challenge" on Saturday, September 20th.

Our market guests will receive tokens to be used as votes for the best salsa. Donations for the tokens will be $1.00. The donations will all be forwarded to the FISH Food Pantry. If you have a great recipe, come and try it out at the market. We hope to make this competition an annual event.

Professional entries (from local restaurants) will be accepted with all amateur entries. Plaques will be awarded to the winning salsas: People's Choice and Judges Choice. Categories include: Hot, Mild, Sweet and Original.

Participants must register at: wauseondowntown@gmail.com Entry Forms may be downloaded at wauseondowntown.org (see the Farmers' Market Tab). Participants should agree to sharing a sample size of at one gallon. Tasters will be treated to a one ounce sample with chips.
